Ma’alot-Quintett comes to Vietnam

German trumpeters Ma’alot-Quintett will perform at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music on November 17 and 24 hours later at the Hanoi Youth Theater.

Ma’alot-Quintett will feature classic and modern works of Mozart, Ligeti, Glanert and Piazzolla in the framework of the European Music Festival 2011, where they will represent Germany in festivals to be held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Formed in 1986, Ma’alot-Quintett is one of the top chamber bands in the world. The band has won numerous awards in international competitions, while they also frequently tour Asia, the U.S. and South America. Invitations for the performance in Ho Chi Minh City will be available from tomorrow at Goethe Institute, 18, Street 1, Do Thanh Condominium, Ward 4, District 3.

European music festival 2011 takes place from November 17-28 in the capital and Ho Chi Minh City and has the participation of European and Vietnamese singers. Both shows start at 8 p.m.

This festival is organised by the European Union delegation to Vietnam and the embassies of Wallonia-Brussels (Belgium), Germany, the Netherlands, France, Slovakia and the U.K.
