The project, consisting of two concerts, will feature one new Vietnamese concerto and a Danish religious hymn entitled “Peace Rests over Land and Town” by Bernhard Severin Ingemann.

It involves well-known flautist Michala Petri and Vietnamese-Danish bassist and jazz composer Chris Minh Doky. Petri will play solo in the first show and share the stage with Doky in the second.

Duy has won several awards, including international violin contests in Novosibirsk and St. Petersburg in 1993 and 1995, respectively, and the Tchaikovsky International Music Competition for violinists under 18 in 1997.

Petri has also accrued a number of prestigious accolades, such as the H. C. Lumbye Prize in 1998, the Wilhelm Hansen Music Prize in 1998 and the Léonie Sonning Music Prize in 2000. She has appeared in nearly 4,000 concerts to date.

Doky has performed in numerous major cities from New York to Copenhagen over many years. He will bring his unique style of mixing traditional jazz and classical music to the event.
