Hanoi announces fireworks event for Tet
Hanoi will hold 29 separate fireworks displays for the Lunar New Year's Eve, on February 10, 2013, according a newly-issued plan by the municipal People’s Committee.
Among those, high-altitude fireworks shows will be performed at 5 major localities, while the remaining 24 will give smaller displays. All are to begin simultaneously, at midnight, lasting for 15 minutes.
Some prominent places that will host the event include the area in front of Hanoi Post Office; Thong Nhat Park, Lac Long Quan Flower Garment, Van Quan Lake and My Dinh National Stadium.
The People’s Committee has instructed security forces and local agencies to stay in close cooperation to ensure safety.
