Four persons get death sentences for drug trafficking

The Lang Son Province's People's Court has convicted 10 persons for trafficking nearly 100 packs of heroin from Viet Nam to China.

The ten persons involved in the drug trafficking ring stand inside the court on Wednesday.
Four persons -- Nong Van Pang, 46; Nong Van Thang, 45; Trieu Van Thuan, 38; and Lang Van Chung, 38 -- from the northern province of Lang Son's Thanh Long Commune have been sentenced to death.

Be Viet Tao and Luong The Kim from Hoang Viet Commune have been sentenced to life imprisonment. Two others, Hoang Van Anh and Lang Van Truong from Na Sam Township and Thanh Long Commune, respectively, have been imprisoned for 20 years, while Hua Thi Thuy and Ly Van Muoi from Tan My and Thanh Long communes, respectively, have been given 18 years of imprisonment.

The indictment said the ten persons formed a drug trafficking ring in early 2013, which extended from Lang Son Province to China, and managed to transport 100 packs of heroin to China for sale.
