International athletics tournament to kick off in HCM City
The 22nd Open HCM City International Athletics Tournament will open on August 1 in HCM City.
The event brings together hundreds of athletes from 31 domestic teams and five teams from Hong Kong, the Republic of Korea, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Indonesia and Singapore. They will compete in 43 categories.
Vietnam's top athletes Nguyen Thi Huyen, Le Trong Hinh, Do Thi Thao, Duong Van Thai and Tran Hue Hoa will compete.
The tournament, which runs until August 3, is jointly organised by the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the HCM City Athletics Federation.
