The programme will feature books on the culture and history of Hanoi as well as Vietnam's socio-economic development, the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh.

Visitors to this book street will have the opportunity to meet famous authors, including Nha Thuyen, Lu and Dang Hoang Giang; receive calligraphy works free of charge from cultural researcher Tran Quang Duc; and enjoy Vietnamese tea.

On the occasion, book companies and publishing houses will offer gifts to readers. Books from various genres will be sold at a discount.

As part of the book street event, a number of artistic programmes will be held, such as recitals of spring poems, demonstrations of the Japanese art of origami (paper folding) and a musical gala that is expected to attract young people.
