The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has announced that it collaborated with the Southern Airports Services Joint Stock Company (SASCO) to put into service its Lotus Lounge at Tan Son Nhat international airport.

 The Lotus Lounge

The lounge aims to service the Platinum class, Gold class members in Gold Lotus programme and business class customers of Vietnam Airlines and SkyTeam Airline Alliance.

The new waiting room covers an area of 553 square metres, with a capacity for 140 guests. It meets with the four-star standards of SkyTeam Airline Alliance.

Guests can look forward to relaxing in its tranquil environment, and availing themselves of the amenities usually provided in private members’ clubs, fine dining establishments or top hotels, such as electric and USB power outlets, a separate VIP area, an à la carte dining area, computer rooms, electric massage chairs and pet areas.

According to Duong Tri Thanh, Director General of Vietnam Airlines, on July 12, Vietnam Airlines was also certified as a four-star Airline by the international air transport rating organization Skytrax, alongside the world’s most reputable airlines such as Air France, British Airways, Emirates, Japan Airlines, Korean Air and Lufthansa.

The award is the result of a number of programs implemented by Vietnam Airlines to improve its service quality in line with international 4-star standards.

Along with the introducing two brand new aircraft types – A350-900 and Boeing 787-9 – into the fleet, the inaugurating of the Lotus Lounge at Tan Son Nhat is considered a significant step for Vietnam Airlines to realize its goal of becoming one of the best-regarded airlines in Asia-Pacific.
