Passenger buses and truck crashed into each other in Long Thanh District, Dong Nai Province, leaving at least 10 people injured on January 4.
Nguyen Thi Hoai Phuong, deputy director of Vietnam Expressway Service Engineering JSC, confirmed that the accident between two passenger buses and a truck occurred at 5am on HCM City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway. The buses were carrying over 100 passengers.

10 people have been admitted to hospital, with half suffering from severe injuries.
A passenger bus was flipped onto the road and a truck crashed into the pavement after being hit. Three other buses were damaged and blocked the road.
"After a bus flipped, many people were stuck and couldn't get out," Nguyen Van Hoang, a witness said.

The traffic police are co-operating with other units to clean up the site for traffic and investigate the cause of the accident.
The 55-kilometre-long HCM City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway cost over VND20.6trn (USD906m). The expressway runs through HCM City and Dong Nai Province. 45,000 vehicles use the expressway daily.
