Seven Vietnamese killed in flash flood and landslide in China
Ha Giang Province authorities said they were working with Chinese authorities to verify the identities of seven Vietnamese who were killed during a flash flood and landslide in China.
The flash flood and landslide injured 33 and killed seven Vietnamese. All of them are from Meo Vac District, Ha Giang Province and had gone to China to work.
Ha Giang Vice Chairman Tran Duc Quy said on July 27 that they had been able to confirm that seven deceased workers were from Khau Vai Commune. "We have asked agencies in Meo Vac District to work with Chinese authorities to identify the workers and bring them home as soon as possible," he said.
Ma Quoc Truong, vice chairman of Meo Vac District, confirmed that the seven workers were from the district.
