Two children die in tyre shop fire
Two children died after a fire broke out at their house which is used as a tyre shop in Hanoi on September 25.
The neighbours tried to wake the people in the house up but only noticed the fire 30 minutes after it was already ablaze. Some of the family escaped onto the rooftop while other called for help from there. A traffic police team also tried to rescue the victims.
Police, firefighter, and dozens of firefighting trucks were sent to the scene and many locals saved seven people after breaking a caged house extension. However, two daughters of the house owner, 16 and 11 years old girls, were stuck inside and died. The fire was brought under control one hour later.
At 7 am, the firefighters were able to get inside and extinguished smaller fires that threatened to break out again.
The cause of the fire is being investigated
