Vietnamese workers die in hydropower accident in Laos
Two Vietnamese workers were killed in an accident at a hydropower project in Laos.
The workers namely Phan Van Thai, 25, in Tan Thanh Commune and Vo Thanh Tuan, 34, in Phu Thanh Commune in Yen Thanh District, Nghe An Province.
The body of the victims taken to a a church in Champasak Province
According to Tran Duy Liem, Chairman of Tan Thanh Commune, the accident occurred at Muong Khong hydropower project in Champasak Province. While working at the construction site, the scaffolding suddenly collapsed, leaving Thai and Tuan dead.
The victims have been brought to a church in Champasak Province under the support of the project contractor and their friends. Procedures are being completed to take them home.
