Foreign diplomats in Vietnam on Sunday visited the Hung Kings Temple complex in the northern province of Phu Tho.

The delegation included about 300 ambassadors, diplomats, and representatives from international organisations operating in Vietnam.

The trip was led by the chairwoman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO), Nguyen Phuong Nga.

Nga said that this was an annual spring trip which aims at introducing the landscape and culture of Vietnam, tightening friendship and strengthening mutual understanding between Vietnamese people and foreign friends and promoting co-operation between VUFO and international organisations in Vietnam.

Palestine ambassador to Vietnam, Saadi Salama (first from right) said this was a very meaningful trip which he and many other diplomats enjoyed a lot. "The trip this year helped us understand more about Vietnamese origins and rich culture," he said.

Uruguayan ambassador to Vietnam, Rosario Portell, also said that the trip was a wonderful experience for her. "Through the trip, I've found out more about your peaceful and beautiful country," she told Dantri/Dtinews. "I want to thank the VUFO for organising such a meaningful trip for us".
