Japanese mentally-ill man rescued from Hanoi’s building top

Police in Hanoi have rescued a Japanese mentally-ill man who was found climbing on the top of several houses for hours.

According to the initial information, at around 3 pm on Thursday, people in alley 12 on Dao Tan Street, Ba Dinh District suddenly saw the man on the top of a seven-floor house. After that, he continued climbing to the top of some other local houses.

The man hung from a house pillar, shocking many people.

At 8 pm on the same day, he still sat on the top of the seven-floor house. Local authorities sent three specialist vehicles and equipment to the site for the rescue.

  

The rescue force 


After more than two hours, the man was brought down to the ground safely.

The man has the Japanese nationality with the name not yet been disclosed. He is being treated at a Hanoi hospital.
