Visiting Son La Prison, a national special relic site and offering incenses at the monument of President Ho Chi Minh and ethnic groups in the north-western region, Deputy PM Binh called on Son La leaders and staffs at the sites to make further investment and pay more care to the conservation of the sites.

The sites should be considered as historical addresses to educate younger generations on the revolutionary tradition of the country and Son La in particular, he said.

He described Son La prison as a symbol of the resolute revolutionary will which can shed light to Party members, officers and people in Son La to move forward and make further contributions to the provincial development.

The Deputy PM then visited families of policy beneficiaries, during which he praised the local authorities for caring for national contributors, calling on further available social resources in the work.

As the 72nd anniversary of the Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day (July 27) is coming, he reiterated that the entire society always remembers the huge sacrifices of Vietnamese heroic mothers, war martyrs, and wounded soldiers across the country and in Son La in particular.

He expressed his hope that each family of policy beneficiaries and wounded soldiers would set as an exemplar to younger generation to follow.
