The southern province of Binh Duong will hold a firework display on the evening of November 23.

The event, which will be held in Thu Dau Mot City's Hoa Phu Ward, is among series of activities held to celebrate Binh Duong's title as a smart city.

Other events, due to be held from November 24-26, include the 2019 Asian Economic Cooperation Forum, the launching of 1022 hotline system, and especially the introduction of the World Trade Centre project in Binh Duong New City.

Covering an area of 24 hectares, the World Trade Centre will be located next to the provincial administrative centre. It will be comprised of many buildings such as offices, conference and exhibition centers, shopping malls, hotels, and entertainment facilities.

Binh Duong Smart City has been the only representative from Vietnam to be selected to the list of world’s Smart21 Communities of 2020 announced recently by the Intelligent Community Forum.

It was the second consecutive year Binh Duong was named one of the urban areas with the most typical smart city development plan in the world.
