Hanoi-Calligraphy festival honours morality

Featuring exhibition of calligraphic works, food, folk games, traditional music performances and a handicraft fair showcasing products made from silk, lacquer, pottery, rattan and ornamental plants.
Visitors to the festival can enjoy calligraphic works at an exhibition entitled Thanh Duc (Forming Morality) by 52 calligraphers.

A delicate merge of tradition and innovation, where the poetic beauty of Northern Vietnam’s village life is presented through a new cirque approach.
Farming, building activities, traditional games, and the lifestyle of the Northern villagers are recreated through ancestral bamboo props, breath-taking cirque and acrobatics performances, as well as rhythmic dancing, performed with distinct folk music from more than 20 musical instruments.

Known as the Cirque du Soleil of Vietnam (minus the flashy outfits), this live show depicts the transition of rural Vietnam into today’s modern landscape, using props such as giant woven baskets, scaffolding, bamboo canes, and ropes.

Hanoi- “Ao Dai and Flowers” exhibition
The Vietnamese Women’s Museum in Hanoi will play host to an exhibition titled “Ao Dai and Flowers” and will provide a unique Tet cultural space for lovers of flowers and Ao Dai, the nation’s national outfit.
Featuring works from renowned artist Lan Huong, in addition to international flower artisan Nguyen Manh Hung.
The event will also put on display Ao Dai from the 1960s, including outfits that feature patterns of Hanoi’s rural gates, Dong Ho folk paintings, and flowers from all four seasons.
A total of six Ao Dai collections made from flower by artisan Nguyen Manh Hung are to be introduced to audiences during the occasion.

Hue City-Exhibition spotlights Japanese installation art

Featuring unique contemporary art works created by Ono, who was inspired by the avant-garde Metabolism movement that emerged during 1950s – 1970s.
Ono is a young and global artist. In recent 10 years, she has engaged in nearly 70 exhibitions, and received global prestigious prizes.
A wide range of activities are taking place in the framework of the exhibition, including a programme to educate children on environmental protection, soft skills, English communication skills, and an art discussion.

Two new exhibitions: ‘Singing to the Choir?’, a group exhibition by Phan Anh, Tran Minh Duc, and Ngoc Nau; along with ‘Silent Intimacy’, a solo exhibition by Dang Thuy Anh.
Works on display at the ‘Singing to the choir?’ exhibition present the artists’ reflections on humanity’s demonstrated attachment of purpose to an intangible realm justifying the meaning of life.
Meanwhile, ’Silent Intimacy’ is Dang Thuy Anh’s first solo exhibition in her artistic endeavor with apple snails, contemplatively dubbed with the impact of urbanization on human life.
