The Ministry of Transport has just requested that all flights from virus areas in South Korea must land at Van Don, Phu Cat or Can Tho airports.

All flights from virus areas in South Korea must land at Van Don, Phu Cat or Can Tho airports.

In an urgent dispatch sent to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV), the ministry asked local airports and relevant departments and agencies to strictly follow the government's instructions on Covid-19 fighting and prevention.

"CVVA must ask airlines to switch all flights from the areas which are reporting virus outbreak in South Korea to Van Don Airport in the northern province of Quang Ninh, Phu Cat Airport in the central province of Binh Dinh, and Can Tho Airport in the southern province of Can Tho," the dispatch said.

Besides, airlines are asked to inform all South Korean passengers that they need to fill in the health declarations at the airports, while Vietnamese people should consider returning to Vietnam as they will face a 14-day quarantine.
