Sanh is staying at K Tan Trieu Hospital in Hanoi for breast cancer treatment

Loc said that his brother Pham Van Quang married Sanh and they have two daughters who have mental development issues.

In 2011, their oldest daughter who was born in 1976 suddenly died following an epileptic fit. Three years later, Sanh fell onto the ground from her bed, causing her hip-bone injuries.

In the same year, her husband died after being bed-ridden for around one year.

The shock got worse as Sanh's second daughter was diagnosed with diabetes and thyroid cancer.

Many of Sanh’s neighbours raised funds to help take her to hospital.

In 2019, Sanh felt tired with a high fever. However, because of the financial difficulties, she did not go to hospital for medical treatment until she fainted. She was then diagnosed with the critical stage of breast cancer.

Dr Dao Thanh Binh from K Tan Trieu Hospital said that Sanh had an operation in April, but her condition remains serious so she needs intensive treatment.

She insisted on coming back home as her family can’t afford the treatment fees.
