Readers donate to help orphan girl
A little girl in Dak Nong Province has received over VND100m (USD4,300) from Dantri/DTiNews readers.
Their two older brother and sister quitted schools after graduating from secondary schools. They both earn little money as factory workers and can only return home twice a year.
On October 23, the representatives of Dantri and Nguyen Trai Primary School in Dak Nong transferred VND83,061,584 (USD3,600) to Anh and her brother Nguyen Quang Duy. Hundreds of people including the teachers in Dak G'Long District have called to give gifts and encouragement to the children. They donated directly VND30m to the siblings.
"A kind reader from Binh Duong Province wants to support Anh VND2m (USD86) every month until she turns 18. They also want to find jobs for me to improve our living condition," Duy said.
Duy thanked everyone that helped them and said that he would deposit the money for Anh until she turns 18.
Nguyen Thi Dao, head of Nguyen Trai Primary School, expressed gratitude to the donors. She said, "We'll create favourable conditions and help Anh as much as possible. We'll also act as a consultant to help them better manage the money."
