The 340-kilo bomb which was found on Hanoi's Cua Bac Street was successfully defused in Bac Giang Province on Monday morning.

The bomb is removed from a construction site on Cua Bac Street in Hanoi at 11.45 pm on November 29.

The bomb which is 40cm in diameter, 125cm in length and weighing 340 kilos was found six metres underground by workers at a construction site at No 15 Cua Bac Street on October 28.

Traffic in the area was restricted while local people were warned not to use mobile phones within 200 metres from the site before the bomb was removed on Sunday night.

The construction project of the Power Transmission Corporation 1 at 15 Cua Bac street lies opposite the headquarters of the Electricity of Vietnam Group.
