Hundreds of Vietnamese citizens stranded by Covid-19 in many different countries have been brought home for over the past two days.

On November 29-30, local authorities and national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines conducted flights to transport 440 Vietnamese people from abroad home.

Among those, 350 are from 20 countries in Europe, America, Africa with the remainder from Indonesia.

The passengers include children under 18, the elderly, pregnant women, people with illnesses, students without accommodation, stranded tourists and workers with expired contracts and visas.

Representatives from the Vietnamese embassies in foreign countries directly came to Paris to support the passengers with their check-in procedures.

Strict Covid-19 prevention regulations were tightly applied during the flights.

Upon arrival in Vietnam, the passengers and crew members were taken to quarantine sites to ensure safety.
