Hanoi-Vietnam Airlines Classic – Hanoi Concert 2017 with London Symphony Orchestra

March 4, 7.45 – 9.30 pm,

The “Vietnam Airlines Classic – Hanoi Concert 2017” will see the world-renowned London Symphony Orchestra performing in the unique cultural setting of Hanoi’s Old Quarter – the first time ever that a British orchestra has performed in Vietnam.

Featuring 95 talented artists from all over the world, led by one of the world’s finest conductors, Elim Chan, the prestigious LSO will bring a performance filled with musical virtuosity and enthusiasm.

The event will also be brought to an even larger audience via three big screens placed at both ends of Dinh Tien Hoang Street and in Tonkin Free School Square.

HCMC- “Hanoi Duo” Nguyen Le – Ngo Hong Quang and Friends

Jazz guitarist Nguyen Le will present his new album “Hanoi Duo” with another exceptional musician – Ngo Hong Quang, an album that is inspired by Vietnamese contemporary music: colorful with multiple styles, upbeat, sensitive and very intelligent.

Featuring 40 portraits of Vietnamese artists. This project was started 4 months ago by Diego and is serie of double exposure photographs with the portraits of the artists blended with their work.

The first group exhibition by the G8 group which includes 4 artists from Hanoi and 4 artists from HCMC. They have different backgrounds, work in different fields, use separated materials and styles but share the same artistic mind and love for people and nature.

G8 includes the following artists: Nguyen Thi Lan Huong, Tran Quang Hai, Bui Mai Hien, Tran Thanh Thuc, Lam Thanh, Tran Thuy Linh, Thai Vinh Thanh and Do Dinh Cuong.

Hanoi-Exhibition “Shape of Round” by Pham Khac Quang

A selection of very personal works by the artist, not only portraying his family but also showing landscapes that are dear to Quang, a Hai Duong – based artist.

With the drilling machine, Quang cuts circular holes into the plate and in this way creates impressive works, some of which are only recognizable from the distance.

Film Screening “Hamlet” on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)

The British Council will present the film version of Hamlet – with BAFTA-nominated actress Maxine Peake in the title role – in its sell-out run at Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre. Peak’s Hamlet is one example of cross-gender casting.
