Five students drown in Hanoi river
Five students drowned after falling into a river in Hanoi's Soc Son District on Sunday.
Chairman of Viet Long Commune People's Committee, Nguyen Ngoc Chuyen, said on October 15 late afternoon that five students who are primary and secondary students in the commune had drowned in the Ca Lo River.
"The bodies of the five, aged between 6 and 13, were recovered by 3pm the same day," Chuyen said, adding that local people discovered the tragedy at noon when they were all found dead.
"It is suspected that the five slipped into the river while fishing there," Chuyen said.
