Construction begins on Da Rang and Song Chua bridges in Phu Yen

The construction project of Da Rang and Song Chua bridges in the southern province of Phu Yen was kicked off on Friday morning at a ceremony attended by PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and representatives from the Ministry of Transport.

The project is expected to ease the burden on the old Ba Dang and Song Chua bridges which have just banned vehicles with 12 seats or bigger.


The two bridges will be built on the National 1A in Tuy Hoa Province with two lanes for cars and motorbikes and a lane for pedestrians, having total length of 1,600 metres.

The project will be carried out by the Ministry of Transport with total investment of over VND340 billion (USD14.98 million).

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Transport, Le Dinh Tho, said that the project will be completed and put into operation at the end of this year.
