Addressing the signing ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador Vũ Quang Minh said during the 16th meeting of the Vietnam-Cambodia Joint Committee on Economic, Cultural, Scientific and Technological Cooperation in Hanoi last week, the two countries agreed to enhance collaboration in personnel training and sustainable development of each side.
Accordingly, the two sides will accelerate the establishment of a Vietnamese study centre at the Royal University of Phnom Penh. Vietnam will continue to grant hundreds of long-term scholarships to Cambodian students every year. In response, Cambodia will help train Vietnamese students at the request of Vietnamese ministries, agencies and localities.Ambassador Minh described the signing of the MoU between the two universities as a step to realise the cooperation between the Governments, ministries in charge of education and training, and localities of the two countries.
