A man who went missing for ten days on Kien Giang Province’s Phu Quoc Island has been found still alive.

Nguyen Anh Lan who is the teacher of My Hiep 2 Primary School in Cao Lanh District, Dong Thap Province has returned home after staying at Phu Quoc District's General Hospital for one day.

The place where Lan was found

One June 15, Lan and his colleagues hired a hotel in Phu Quoc Island for their holiday. On the afternoon of the same day, Lan took a taxi to Cua Can Beach which is some 10 kilometres from the hotel.

However, after that, he did not return the hotel and no one could contact him. Two days later, his colleagues circulated his photo and details online calling the public to help find him.

His relatives came to the island to search, but no trace was found.

Lan was found on June 25 lying motionless in the forest by a local and was taken to hospital.

Lan has partially recovered but there has been no reason given for his disappearance.
