Cars hit by stones on Ha Long-Hai Phong Expressway

Many drivers have complained that their vehicles had been hit by stones when driving on the newly-operated Ha Long-Hai Phong Expressway.

According to the expressway management, the case has been informed to the police of Quang Yen Town in Quang Ninh Province for investigation.

The board said that on the evenings of February 18 and 19, some drivers reported to the Bach Dang BOT toll station in Quang Yen that their vehicles had been attacked by people throwing stones from a nearby overpass.

The toll station staff also received the same complaints from several other drivers on February 20. Among those, a Range Rover and a truck had their glass damaged.

Quang Yen police are conducting the investigation into the incidents.

Ha Long-Hai Phong Expressway, which is 25 kilometres long and 25 metres wide, has been put into operation since September 1 last year.
