South Korean busted illegal mobile phone transportation in HCM City
A South Korean man was arrested on Monday at HCM City’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport with more than 400 second-hand mobile phones.
The airport customs officers with the Anti-Smuggling Investigation Department, under the General Department of Vietnam Customs, to check the 35-year-old South Korean man’s luggage, finding the phones.
The second-hand mobile phones were seized at Tan Son Nhat International Airport on May 20
The phones bearing iPhones, Samsung and LG brands are worth around a total VND3 billion (USD130,434).
Used and refurbished mobile phones are banned from being imported into Vietnam.
The case is under further investigation.
