Vietstar Airlines receives operation permit

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has officially given an Air Operator Certificate to Vietstar Airlines for the operation of commercial jets in Vietnam.




Vietstar Airlines has just been given permission for the operation of commercial jets in Vietnam.

As the first multirole aviation enterprise to receive the permit, Vietstar will run two types of aircraft – the Embraer Legacy 600 and Beechcraft King Air B300.


The Embraer Legacy 600 is a modern commercial jet equipped with VIP seats. It has large-cabin with a capacity for 13 passengers and can fly up to eight hours in the Asia-Pacific radius. The Beechcraft King Air B300 is a modern, high-speed aircraft fitted with eight travel seats.

Established in 2010 with charter capital of VND300 billion (USD13 million), Vietstar Airlines, which based in HCM City, targets at providing flight services to domestic and foreign individuals and organisations.

The airlines also provides maintenance and medical flight services.

Following the licensing of Vietstar Airlines, there are now six airlines operating in the domestic market including Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Jetstar Pacific, Vasco and Bamboo Airways.
