New eight-lane street connects three Hanoi districts

An eight-lane street which links three districts in Hanoi has been opened to traffic on Tuesday.

The expanded Nguyen Van Huyen road connects Nghia Do Ward in Cau Giay District, Xuan La Ward in Tay Ho District and Xuan Dinh Ward in Bac Tu Liem District.

  

  

The 627-metre road has a total investment of VND39 billion (USD1.69 million).

The road is 50 metres wide with four lanes on each side, of which two are for four-wheel vehicles and two for motorcycles.

The traffic lights and signs along the road has been installed.

The road is also linked to some routes in the western urban area of West Lake.



Workers are painting fences along the street

Hanoi is building an overpass over Hoang Quoc Viet Street to ease traffic congestion.
