The multipurpose site will have entertainment services and be home to a clean water reservoir for the city.

District 12 authorities are calling for investment for the project.

According to the HCM City Department of Construction, HCM City has a lack of parks. Many districts do not have any parks such as Thu Duc, Binh Tan, Nha Be, Hoc Mon, Cu Chi and Binh Chanh districts and districts 1 and 12.

The department added that the park area of the city’s 13 old inner-city districts is now up to 273 hectares, accounting for up to 55% of the municipal’s total park area. Meanwhile, the area for the six new inner-city districts and the five outlying districts is 172 hectares and 42 hectares, equal to 35% and 10% respectively.

The city centre has many big parks, including Tao Dan, Gia Dinh, Hoang Van Thu and Le Thi Rieng.
