The flight conformed to very strict regulation on Covid-19 prevention. Passengers sat at least two metres apart. They had to fill in a health declaration.

After the passengers were taken out of the airport, sterilisation was conducted in the areas related to the flight.

The flight operated by national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines was funded by Pham Nhat Vuong, chairman of Vingroup.

Since early February, Van Don International Airport has received 28 flights carrying a total of around 4,000 people from Covid-19-hit areas in foreign countries.
