Two foreigners among four patients cleared of COVID-19

Four patients including two South African citizens have been cleared of COVID19, bringing total number of recovered patients to 126, the Ministry of Health said Wednesday.

Patient 125 is a 22-year old South African woman, living in District 7 in Ho Chi Minh City.

On March 14, she visited Buddha Bar which has emerged as the second biggest COVID-19 cluster in Viet Nam.

Patient 126 is a 28-year old South African man, living in District 7 in Ho Chi Minh City.

He is a teacher and friend of the above-mentioned patient. He visited the 125th patient's residence and went to Buddha Bar.

Patient 152 is a 27-year old woman residing in Tay Thanh, Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City.

She is the older sister of a previously-announced patient numbered 127, who is a waiter of the Buddha Bar.

As many as 19 COVID-19 patients in Ho Chi Minh City are linked to the Buddha Bar.

The above patients were released from Ho Chi Minh City's Can Gio Hospital.

Patient 153 is a 60-year old Vietnamese man, residing in Hai Chau District of the central city of Da Nang. She returned to Viet Nam from Australia.

The patient was discharged from Ho Chi Minh City's Cu Chi field hospital.

Ho chi Minh City has confirmed 54 COVID-19 infection cases, of whom 34 have been freed of the virus.

All of the above patients will continued to be medically monitored in the next 14 days as regulated.

As of April 8, Viet Nam confirmed 251 COVID-19 infection cases, of whom 235 have been reported since March 6.
