A zero dong market has been held for workers in the southern province of Binh Duong.

The market which mostly offered necessities was organised by the provincial Trade Union on Sunday.

The event is aimed to respond to the Vietnamese Workers' Month 2020 and also supports workers following the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the market, workers could buy many products free of charge such as eggs, rice, cooking oil, vegetable and particularly fresh seafood. All the goods have clear origins.

Thousands of workers queued for coming into the market. Products such as rice, vegetable and fresh seafood attracted workers the most

Free medical check-ups were also provided at the market

The programme’s organising board transported the products to people who could not participate in the market for special reasons such as being ill.

The market opened at 8:30 am and ended at 4:30 pm
