Another extreme cold front to affect northern region
Another extreme cold wave has been forecasted to hit the northern region of Vietnam from this evening, January 16, according to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting.
The chill would then strike many southern localities. It would also bring about light rain for northern and central localities.
Northern mountainous localities such as Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son and Ha Giang would see the lowest temperature of 4-11 degrees centigrade. Some would even have snow.
Provinces from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai would have lowest temperatures of 14-18 degrees centigrade.
The average lowest temperature of Hanoi would be 8-11 degrees centigrade.
