Dong Da District in Hanoi has started Covid-19 vaccination using a similar method to field hospitals to ensure safe distancing.

Vaccinations were started at Trinh Hoai Duc Gymnasium in the district on Monday. Only people who registered for vaccination were allowed to attend.

People were called in turn for a temperature check, blood pressure test and epidemic information.

Shields are used to create separate inoculation rooms similar to field hospitals. This is the first of its kind in Hanoi’s Covid-19 vaccination campaign.

Different areas are all separated. For instance, there is a screening area and a waiting area. People are instructed to move one way to avoid contact with others.

An injection room covers an area of 8 square metres.

Dong Da District has planned to conduct the vaccination for four days with a total of 25,680 jabs.

Vaccine AstraZeneca were used at Trinh Hoai Duc Gymnasium on Monday.

After being vaccinated, people were asked to stay at the gymnasium for around 30 minutes to be monitored.
