Chinese company to donate video conference system to Vietnam

China Huawei Technologies Company will donate a video conference system supporting teleconference to the Vietnamese government, according to the company's source on Nov 26.

A signing ceremony for the donation was held here on Thursday with participation of officials of the Vietnamese government, Chinese embassy to Vietnam and Huawei Company.

The video conference system will help speed up the building of e-government in Vietnam and contribute to the social and economic development, said Nguyen Xuan Phuc, director of government office of Vietnam at the signing ceremony.

Phuc said Vietnam and China will embrace the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations next year. Huawei's move demonstrated the friendship of Vietnamese and Chinese parties, governments and peoples.

Ma Xiaobo, general manager of Huawei Vietnam, said at the ceremony that Vietnamese telecommunication sector is developing rapidly in recent years. Despite the global financial crisis, the Vietnamese government has managed to maintain sustained economic growth this year.

Huawei, who entered Vietnam ten years ago, would like to grow together with Vietnamese market and make contribution to the e-government building of Vietnam.
