Victoria Radochinskaya, Mrs. Russia, has beaten 75 beauties from all over the world to win the title Mrs. World 2009, held in Vung Tau, Vietnam on Nov. 22.

The international pageant for married women took place over 21 days, with several activities and sub-contests. After the traditional and athletic wear contests, Vietnam’s representative, Hoang Thi Yen, made it to the Top 12 contestants with beauties from Malaysia, Philippines, Russia, Costa Rica, Ivory Coast, South Africa, UK, Poland, Brazil, the US, and India.
The top 12 contestants competed again in athletic and evening wears, to choose six to the next ground. Those made it included beauties from Russia, India, the US, Brazil, Poland and Vietnam.
MCs then called out three names to enter the Top 3, and they were from Russia, the US and Vietnam, who proceeded to personal interview.
With her short and sharp answer, Victoria Radochinskaya won the competition with the prize worth US$150,000, plus jewellery worth $20,000. She is a PR manager for a company and has been married for a year.
Mrs. USA was the first runner-up, and Vietnam’s Hoang Thi Yen was the second runner-up. She is 32 years old and has been married for 12 years, with two children.
The 2010 Mrs. World contest will be held in South Korea.
