In the 48-kilogramme youth division, 16-year-old Pham Thi Phuong defeated Ireland\'s Christine Gargan 16-11 in the quarter-final before going on to beat Chan Yu-Hsuan of Chinese Taipei in the semi-final.

She will face Saeki Kasumi of Japan in the final.

Vuong Thi Vy, 15, also made it through to the final of the 52kg youth division by crushing Alicia Holzken of the Netherlands. She will fight India\'s Lalfakzuai for the gold medal.

Liu Thi Duyen is expected to become the third Vietnamese boxer to secure a place in the final. All that stands between her and a shot at gold is Basumatary of Indonesia.

A total of 264 young female boxers from 45 different countries have taken part in the event at the Kepez Belediye Kapali Spor Salonu in Antalya.

The tournament has provided a good opportunity for Vietnamese boxers to gain useful experience for the upcoming London 2012 Olympics.
