13-year-old violinist Do Phuong Nhi will perform in the Toyota Concert Tour Vietnam 2011 which will be organized in 4 big cities from 7th – 16th July.

Nhi, 13, will join artists from the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra to perform in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hue and Ho Chi Minh City under the baton of Japanese conductor Tetsuji Honna.

The tour will feature works of world’s famous composers including Goerges Bizet, Johann Strauss, Leroy Anderson and Camille Saint-Saens.

Phuong Nhi, niece of musician Le Minh Son, started to learn violin at the age of 4 with professor Ngo Van Thanh.

The talented little girl has joined the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra several times. She’s now living in Norway.

At the Toyota tour, Nhi will perform "Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso, Op.28" by Saint Saens.

“Toyota concert tours have been successful with the participation of top singers like Thanh Lam and My Linh in previous years. Inviting a singer to perform with an orchestra is a good idea, but it’s not enough. Moreover, we want to create chances for young talents to shine”, conductor Honna Tetsuji talked about choosing Nhi instead of famous singers.

Money from tickets sale will be donated towards supporting young music talents around Vietnam.

The concert tour, to be held by Toyota Vietnam Foundation, will take place at 8pm in Hanoi on July 7-8, Hai Phong on July 10, Hue on July 13 and HCM City on July 16.

Tickets costing from VND50,000 to VND450,000 (USD2.4-USD21.8) for general public and VND30,000 and VND50,000 (USD1.40-USD2.4) for students are available at the four cities.
