The Irish famous boy band Westlife will have a one night show in Hanoi on October 1 to mark for its 11th album Gravity.

Mark Feehily, a Westlife member, announced on his Twitter blog on July 17 that the band was planning on its trip to several Asian countries including Indonesia, Taipei, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippines and Vietnam.

He said he was so excited about his coming visit to Vietnam and he could not wait to see great Westlife fans in Indonesia and Taipei.

Established in 1998 with five members Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily, Shane Filan and Brian McFadden (who departed from the band in 2004), Westlife has soon become one of the leading boy bands in Europe with a number of wonderful ballads such as Flying without Wings, Seasons in the Sun, My Love and I Lay My Love on You.

In 2009, Brian was invited to perform in the Hennessy Artistry in Vietnam.

Westlife’s 11th album was released on November 22, 2010 and the group has started its tour around the world on March 7.

During its tour the band will sing some of its old songs including Uptown Girl, World of Our Own and some others from the new album like Safe, I Will Reach You and No One’s Gonna Sleep Tonight.

This year, Vietnamese music lovers have the chance to welcome to many popular artists including Backstreet Boys, Super Junior, JYJ, Alexandra Burke, David Cook and David Archuleta.

The rock band Bon Jovi is also expected to come to Vietnam in late 2011.
