  • | VietNamNet | February 28, 2012 07:56 PM

The Traffic Police Bureau of the central city of Danang is going to correct traffic police officers’ style of work, at the instruction of the city’s Party Secretary, said a senior traffic police officer.

Senior Lieutenant Colonel Le Ngoc, the bureau’s vice chief, said that the city would maintain only four traffic police stations, including Hoa Phuoc, Hoa Nhon, Kim Lien and Hoa Hai.

Notably, the total income of traffic police officers will be increased to at least VND5 million (USD250) per month. Police officers at the four above stations will be rotated quarterly.

Cameras will be installed at traffic police stations to supervise the operation of policemen, especially to prevent corruption.

Danang is the first city in Vietnam using cameras to supervise traffic police officers.
