Hanoi scrambles to complete projects for 1,000 year Anniversary
There are only ninety-four days remaining until the 1,000 year Thang Long - Hanoi Anniversary, yet the city looks like a massive construction site.
Streets, pavement, the sewage system, flooring, lights, electrical, communication cables, planting new green trees, everything around Hanoi seems to be under repair or worked on, modified, restored and constructed.
Plannings for this special event had been in the works for 10 years, but to date, the implementation of these plannings have not made much progress. It’s now only 3 months away from the great celebration and the city is a mess.
