MoET Deputy Minister Nguyen Vinh Hien congratulated the students and expressed his high hope for their accomplishments in future international competitions.

The subject of informatics was introduced in Vietnamese schools only recently, and there have been numerous limitations in teaching methods and curriculum. So the students' success, highlighted their dedication to studying.

The Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiads is a competition for delegations of students within the South Asian and Western Pacific region. The contest was held online, with students competing from 27 countries and territories with traditionally strong teams such as China, Japan and Korea.
