The hotline of HCM City's newly appointed Party Committee Secretary Dinh La Thang has received nearly 1,200 calls and more 800 messages from people within two days of its launch.

According to the municipal party committee office, most of the people called the hotline to report issues about urban area management (especially those relating to traffic jams, flooding and environment pollution), social security, public administration reform and complaints or denunciations.
Following Thang's orders, the municipal party committee on Friday launched a hotline (0888247247) to help people report issues related to the economy, culture, society and people' daily lives directly to the party secretary. The hotline has been receiving calls continuously shortly after its launch.
Normally Thang answers the phone calls. If he is busy, the municipal party committee office's employees receive the calls. They make a summary of all calls, prepare a report for Thang and ask relevant agencies to settle the issues as per their ability.
