The office and apartment building project where the accident happened on October 13 morning
The accident happened at 5am when the workers were pouring concrete on the sixth floor of the Eco Green Tower at 1 Giap Nhi Street in Thinh Liet Ward.
Police in Thinh Liet Ward confirmed to Dan Tri/DTiNews that two workers had been killed on site and four others injured and had been rushed to a nearby hospital.
According to a man who lived near the site, he heard a loud noise and came out to see a man and a woman lying dead on the ground.
"Some other workers were lucky to hold onto the scaffold to survive," eyewitness Pham Huy Tuong, said.
The construction of the 27-storey Eco Green Tower project began last December, with work on-going on the sixth floor.
