Six killed after car crosses railway

A train crashed into a car early this morning in Hanoi’s Thuong Tin District, causing six deaths.

 

The accident causes five deaths

At around 5 am on October 24, a seven-seat Mazda CX5 collided with a train while trying to cross the railway in Van Binh Commune, Thuong Tin District, said eyewitness Mai Thi Xiem.

Four people died on the spot, while two among three seriously injured also died in hospital.

According to a railway staff, there was no fence at railway crossing at the time of the accident, but there is a warning sign and red light.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
