Hanoi-Exhibition “Misunderstandings” by Lukas Zerbst

Featuring video works and site-specific installation pieces by German multimedia artist Lukas Zerbst.

The process of making art and putting on an exhibition is often at its most engaging when it is a little bit confusing, allows more than one perspective and brings joy and frustration in equal measure.

Our collaboration with Zerbst has been all those things already and we look forward to showing you the result.

HCMC-Exhibition “The Prolonged Interventions” by Le Phi Long

This exhibition features photographs and an installation by Le Phi Long accompanied by a video documentary directed by Le Phi Long, commissioned and produced by Madeleine Cao—founder of the social enterprise OpenM Corp.

HCMC-Exhibition “The Three-Cornered World”

Galerie Quynh, Level 2, 151/3 Dong Khoi, Dist 1,

“The Three-Cornered World,” a novella by influential Japanese writer Natsume Soseki, tells the story of an unnamed artist sojourning in a nearly deserted hot-spring resort. Carrying nothing but paper and paint, the artist seeks refuge in art and haiku amidst the remoteness of the mountainous region, driven away from the society of man by the turbulence of war.

With these thoughts in mind, for our annual year-end hanging, the organiser presents a selection of hopeful, contemplative artworks by Ha Manh Thang, Sandrine Llouquet, Christine Nguyen, Nguyen Huy An and Tran Van Thao. May 2017 be a year of more critical inquiry and passionate debate about our common humanity.

Hanoi-Metropole Tet Market 2017

The three-day Cho Que (country market in Vietnamese) will see the hotel’s open-air courtyard transformed into a bustling Vietnamese “street” market. Some 20 vendors will be dressed in traditional garb, selling special Tet holiday foods and local handicrafts such as conical hats, colourful silks and woven baskets.
