DTiNews have donated a total VND110 million (USD5,000) for a nine-year-old poor girl in the northern province of Hai Duong who is facing leukaemia.

After an article about Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh in Hai Duong Province’s Binh Giang District was published on Dantri/DTiNews, many readers supported her.

Anh and her mother

Anh is now staying at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion in Hanoi for the treatment. Doctors said that she was in the critical condition and on the verge of death.

According to Doctor Hoang Thi Hong from the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion said that Anh’s condition was worse when her white cell rate.

She is being given with chemotherapy and if no improvement has seen, she must need the stem cell transplants. If the girl does not match her mother’s umbilical cord blood, she will have to use another source which would increase costs up to VND1 billion (USD45,450).
