Tourist killed by falling tree at Dalat clay tunnel
A visitor has been killed and several others injured when a tree fell at the clay tunnel in Dalat City.

"When the girl and some other visitors sat down for a rest at the end of the tunnel, a tall tree of 15 metres long suddenly fell on to their heads and backs," Quynh said.
The victim was rushed to hospital but died on the way. Some others tourists had slight injuries."
At the site, the fallen tree had fresh leaves and barks but its roots had rotted.
The clay tunnel or Da Lat model village of clay sculptures was built at a forest near Tuyen Lam Lake. Unique architectural masterpieces such as the railway station, Bao Dai’s Palace, Pasteur Institute, Da Lat University, Palace Hotel, Linh Son Pagoda, Ho Xuan Huong Lake, and Da Lat market are meticulously reproduced.
Covering more than 1,200 square metres of lush pine forest, the clay tunnel may pose risks to visitors during the rainy season.
